Who we are
Start a Moving Company is run by Jacob K. and Liam M. of Hercules Moving Heroes Inc., 310 Stony Brook Road, Palenville, NY 12463. "We" and "us" in these terms means them. Calendly takes the booking and its payment processor takes the payment; neither is a party to the call.
What you are buying
One sixty-minute video call on Google Meet with Jacob and Liam, about starting or running a local moving business. The fee is $249.99, charged when you book. It covers the hour, one follow-up question by email within seven days of the call, and a recording of the call if you ask for one at the start.
Rescheduling
You can move the call at no charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start, using the link in your confirmation email. Inside 24 hours, email us and we will try to accommodate you, but we may not be able to.
Cancellations and refunds
- Cancel 24 hours or more before the call: full refund.
- Cancel inside 24 hours, or do not show up: no refund. The hour was held for you and offered to nobody else.
- If, in the first ten minutes of the call, we tell you we cannot help with your situation, we end the call and refund you in full.
- If we have to cancel, you choose a new time or a full refund.
Refunds go back to the payment method you used and can take several business days to appear.
What it is not
The call is two operators sharing what worked for their own company. It is not legal, tax, accounting, insurance, or financial advice, and it is not a guarantee of any result. Rules for moving companies differ by state; confirm yours with the relevant authority before you take a job. Our numbers are ours. Your results depend on your market, your effort, and decisions we do not control.
Limit of liability
Our total liability to you for anything arising from the call is limited to the fee you paid for it. We are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue or business that follows from acting on what we said. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
The course: Moving Company in a Month
The course is a set of online video lessons and downloadable templates about starting and running a local moving business. The price is $497 charged when you buy, or three monthly payments of $179 charged to the same card, the first at purchase. If an installment fails, access is paused until it is paid, and all three payments remain due. The course is also sold together with one strategy call for $647; that call is governed by the call terms above, except that no separate call fee exists to refund. Payments are processed by the course platform. Every module and lesson is listed on the course page before you buy.
Course refunds
All course sales are final. Because the full curriculum is published before purchase and the lessons and templates are available as soon as you buy, we do not offer refunds on the course, in whole or in part. If you are charged twice or charged in error, email us and we will correct it.
Using the course and templates
Your purchase is for one person. You may use the templates in your own moving business and change them as you need to. You may not share your login, resell or redistribute the lessons or templates, or publish them as your own.

Mentorship
Mentorship is a monthly service: one video call of up to sixty minutes each week, a text thread between calls answered on business days, a written monthly review, and access to the course. The fee is $1,497 a month, charged at the start of each month. We accept people into it by application and nothing is charged until a start date is agreed in writing.
Calls are booked a week ahead and do not carry over from one month to the next. A call moved with at least 24 hours' notice is rebooked; a call missed or cancelled inside 24 hours counts as used. If we have to cancel, we rebook it. You may cancel from the next month at any time by email. A month in which a call has taken place is not refunded. If on the first call we tell you we cannot help with your situation, that month is refunded in full.

Disputes
If something goes wrong, email us first and we will try to fix it within five business days. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of Greene County, New York.
Confidentiality
What you tell us on the call stays between us. We may describe situations in general terms in our writing without identifying you. If we ever want to use your story with your name, we will ask first.
