Who we are
This site is run by Jacob K. and Liam M. of Hercules Moving Heroes Inc., 310 Stony Brook Road, Palenville, NY 12463. Questions about this policy go to info@herculesmovingheroes.com.
What we collect
The email address you type into a form on this site, and, on the pricing calculator, the numbers you entered when you asked for the full breakdown (how you were quoting, crew size, hours, wage, and the quote it produced). If you book a strategy call, Calendly collects your name, email, time zone and your answer to the booking question, and the payment processor connected to Calendly collects your payment details. We never see your card number.
Why we collect it
To tell you when the course opens, to send occasional notes about running a moving company, and to run the call you booked. The calculator numbers help us see what people are pricing so we can write about it. That is the whole list.
Who else sees it
Netlify, which hosts this site and stores form submissions. Google Analytics, for visit counts. Mailchimp, the email provider we use to keep the list and send it its messages; when you sign up, your address and which form you used are sent to it. Calendly, for bookings, and the payment processor connected to it, which processes the payment when you book. Each works under its own privacy policy. Nobody else. We do not sell, rent, or trade your address.
How long we keep it
Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Booking records stay in Calendly for as long as we use it. Calculator numbers are kept with the form submission and deleted when the submission is.
Affiliate links
Some links on the tools page are affiliate links. If you buy through one we may earn a commission. Clicking one tells that company you came from here; it does not tell them who you are.
Getting off the list, and your rights
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. You can also reply to any message, or write to the address above, to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and we will do it within thirty days. If you are in California, the EU or the UK, those are the rights the law gives you and we honor them for everyone.
Children
This site is for adults starting a business. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages lead to a booking. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google the pages you view, a random visitor id, and events like a form signup or a click on the booking button, under Google's privacy policy. We have data sharing with Google turned off. To opt out, use Google's browser add-on or block the googletagmanager.com domain. The quote-call page remembers, in your browser only, the name, town and rate you type into its "make it yours" box, so the script stays filled in when you come back; nothing about that leaves your device. Fonts load from Google Fonts and the booking calendar loads from Calendly, so those companies receive the request for their files.
