Mentorship
Us, every week, on your company.
A one-hour call with us every week, four a month, and a text thread in between. Your rate sheet, your quotes, your operating documents and your hires, with a written review of the numbers at the end of each month. For owners who are already doing jobs and want a company that runs them without the owner on the truck.
- One call a week, four a month, on your numbers
- Texts answered the same business day
- The course included, for as long as it exists
- Month to month after the first
What you walk away with
Four things on paper, then your company every week.
- Your rate sheet, reviewed and rebuilt. What a crew hour costs you, what you charge, the minimum and the accessorials, worked on the calculator with your wages, your truck and your town.
- Your quotes, read together. Your last ten: what you said, what you charged, which you lost and why. Then your version of the quote call, in your words.
- Your operating documents. The contract, the order for service and the crew briefing, rebuilt from ours with your name and your terms, and the deposit rule that stops no-shows.
- A written numbers review every month. Jobs, revenue, cost per booked job, and the one thing that changes next month.
Example format. Not a client's numbers.
Monthly review · [company] · [month]
- Jobs
- [booked] of [quoted] · close rate [%]
- Revenue
- [gross] · average job [$] · hours billed [h]
- Crew hour
- Costs [$], bills [$]. Margin after wages, truck and fuel: [%]
- Cost per booked job
- [$] across leads, ads and time on the phone
- Lost quotes
- [the three that got away, and the pattern]
- Next month
- [the one change], and what it should do to the numbers above
This is the shape of the written review, with brackets where your figures go. It is an illustration of the format, not a result anyone has had.
Who it is for
You're running jobs. The next step is a company that runs them without you.
The calls come in, some weeks are full, and the money is fine when you are on the truck and thinner when you are not. You are somewhere under $150K and every way up looks like more of your own hours. That is the owner this is built for, because it is exactly where Jacob was for two years, and the move out of it is the thing we most want to hand over.
Who it is not for
Not there yet? Start with the course.
If you have not booked a job yet, the course is the better buy: the first eight modules get you to the first job, and everything we would say on a call before that is already in them. Come back when you have numbers worth an hour a week, and the course comes with you, because it is included here.
What a month looks like
The first month is setup. After that it is your company, every week.
- Week 1Your numbers. What a crew hour costs you, what you charge, what you keep. We rebuild your rate sheet on the calculator with your wages, your truck and your market, and we set the minimum and the accessorials.
- Week 2Your quotes. Your last ten quotes, read together: what you said, what you charged, which ones you lost and why. Then your version of the script, in your words, for your market.
- Week 3Your paperwork. Our contract, order for service and crew briefing, rebuilt with your name and your terms, and the deposit rule that stops the no-shows.
- Week 4The month, in writing. Jobs, revenue, cost per booked job, and the one thing that changes next month. From here on, every call is whatever your company needs that week: a hire, a truck decision, a bad review, a job that went long.
What is included
What is included, and what still costs extra.
- The weekly call. One hour, on video, with your numbers on screen. Liam for the front office, pricing and quoting; Jacob for crews, trucks and hiring; both when the week calls for it.
- The thread. Text us between calls. A customer pushing back, a quote you are not sure of, a hire that is not working. Answered the same business day.
- The course. Moving Company in a Month, for as long as the course exists, so the calls are about your company and not about the basics.
- The templates, made yours. Rate sheet, quote script, contract and crew briefing, rebuilt with you in the first three weeks.
- The monthly review. Your numbers, in writing, with what changes next month.
- Not included: a website. Members get the full site at the launch-site price, $750 to build and $49 a month instead of $2,500 and $99, built in your second month from the numbers month one settles. It is a discount, and it is still a separate purchase. Anything beyond the weekly call and the thread is extra too.
How it runs
Month to month. Leave when you have what you came for.
- $1,497 a month, charged at the start of each month. The first month is the only commitment.
- Cancel from the next month by email, any time. No notice period, no call to talk you out of it.
- One call a week, four in a month. Booked a week ahead. They do not roll over, and a call missed without 24 hours' notice counts as used.
- No refunds on a month once a call has happened. If we cannot help you, we will say so on the first call and refund the month.
- Not a guarantee. Our numbers are ours. Yours come from your market, your prices and your work, and we will tell you that on the first call too.
Questions
Before you apply.
Why apply instead of just buying?
Because it only works for an owner who is already doing jobs, and we would rather say no than take a month from someone who should buy the course. Tell us where the company is. We reply within two business days with a yes or a no and the reason. Nothing is charged until you agree a start date.
How is this different from the strategy call?
The call is one hour, once, for one specific question. This is the same hour every week, with the same two people who now know your numbers, plus the thread in between. The first month alone is four calls and your paperwork rebuilt.
When are the calls?
Weekday afternoons, Eastern time, on Google Meet. You pick a weekly slot from our calendar when you start, and you can move a call with 24 hours' notice.
Who is on the call?
Whichever of us the week’s question needs. Liam built the front office: pricing, quoting, the website, the leads. Jacob runs the trucks: crews, equipment, hiring, the job itself. Most weeks it is one of us, some weeks it is both, and we decide that from what you bring to the call. The thread goes to both of us.
Is the website included?
No. Members get the full site for the launch-site price, $750 to build and $49 a month, instead of $2,500 and $99. It is a discount on a separate purchase, built in your second month once month one has settled your rates.
How long do people stay?
We have not run it long enough to tell you. Our guess is three to six months: the setup month, then the months where you are hiring and pricing with someone watching. Leave when it has paid for itself, which should be visible in the monthly review.
Is this legal, tax or insurance advice?
No. We are movers. We will tell you what we did and who we called, and we will tell you when the right answer is a lawyer, an accountant or an agent.
Tell us where the company is.
Your town, where the company is, and the main thing you want help with. We reply within two business days with a yes, a no, or a question. Applying charges nothing.
Not there yet? The course is $497, and the first eight modules are the job that gets you here.
